Founder and President of the nonprofit – Center for Leadership Development (CLD) and its international GiveCare project that uses entrepreneurship for leadership development through micro finance dedicated to women empowerment and youth development. Scholastica Wilson, for close to twenty years, has worked across a wide spectrum of people, initiatives and organizations, assisting for profit and nonprofit organizations in the United States and Africa to meet set-up and strategy needs.
Her goal is to create healthier and more productive communities through specialized development funds management, sound and effective leadership, personal and organizational skills and dynamics for higher performance. A George Washington University MBA with specialization in international development, Scholastica holds a 1996 Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Statistics and a Master’s degree in Economics. In June 2017, she will complete a doctorate in Transformational Leadership. She is certified by the German Competency Based Economies Formation of Enterprises Program to train trainers of entrepreneurs on starting and managing small businesses.
Scholastica is also a certified mediator and conciliator and specializes in resolving personal and workplace conflicts. She is currently executive director, community programs, Christian Development Foundation (CDF), where she is responsible for development projects in Africa. She has served on several think tanks including, United Nations Development Program (UNDP)’s Learning Bank Committee of the National Partnership Forum (NPF), Lagos Nigeria. Scholastica also served as Mentor/Coach, Strategic Partners Initiative (2006), a capacity building program for non-profits and community based organization of the Office of Partnerships & Grants Development, Mayor’s Office Washington DC. She has also served on the board of a few organizations, including USA-Africa that works to promote trade and commerce between United States and Africa; New Covenant Dominion Federal Credit Union; Bowels of Mercy International and Computers for African Schools.
Her immediate past engagements include director of development New Covenant Community Development Corporation (NCCDC), New York; adjunct professor, Ambassadors College of Ministries and Theological Seminary; and director of programs and international outreach for Love Foundation International in Maryland, USA.
